Well I've checked the latest Jane Green book doesn't come out here in the US until March, in hardback, sorry. But I'm getting it from the UK in paperback woohoo. Most of the authors I like for fun reading are British, which means I have been getting all my books for fun from England when I'm there. Not that I have time to read anything for fun at the moment.

It's taken me nearly 3 years at my college to find a person to hang out with that 1) I wasn't living with at one time or another 2) has the same basic major as me and 3) lives off campus. Got invited to go and watch a movie or something with a girl from my PR class last semester. Makes me feel good, I've been pretty down lately and feeling like a loser. Call it post-holiday blues/remaining jetlag/basic depression.

Well I'm feeling tired and hungry today...which means one of two things really. And its definitely not that one thing...

I think my last microwave velvetta meal (I know its not cheese but its so good) is calling my name...but I must resist.

Good news on finding someone to hang out with. I know what you mean about how it can get depressing if there's no-one you can call to just get together with.

Hope you're having a good weekend.

It is difficult to find good friends. I remember firts year at uni I was hanging out withe verybody, just having a look around an dgetting to know everybody a little bit more to make my mind about the person. And yep, after some dissapointments, I found my friends. Dont give up but, also, be confident and optimistic and social, it will work better with you.

Mmmm velveeta. It'll still be in your stomach 50 years from now. Cause ya know, it doesn't mold.

And you KNOW who this is! =)

I know what it's like not having any friends around -- someone to just go have a cuppa "anything" with or out to a movie or shopping. All my friends started getting married and having babies at the age of 23....left me out in the cold in a way. After I got divorced at age 25 I was horribly depressed, not because of the big D, but because I had no one to spend time with.

Now I'm 34 and still have nobody to just hang out with...but I'm old and tired now so school and work is just enough "excitment" that I'm too tired to get off the couch when I get home ;)
