Cadbury's mmmmm

Found this on Natalie's blog. The first time I got:

I'm The Original Cadbury's Dairy Milk!
I'm The Original Cadbury's Dairy Milk! What Are You?
Take the 'What Cadbury's Chocolate Are You?' Test
By Little Miss Alien.

Then I changed one answer and got:

Spring Break

Well not much of a 2 day spring break was had by me.

Yesterday I spent the day watching BBC America - which we have again here at home yay. There is just nothing like it - an anglophile's dream I'm telling you!
And I made notecards for my abnormal psych test on Monday. Still need to do a little less than a chapter... which I'll do in a min.

Today I did much of the same thing, only less work lol. Went to Chinese with my mom and brothers which was really good.

Updated the Wedding Planner:

I'll post the links on here for Gem to see - even though she knows the lowdown on the plans from YourDay2Remember ;)

I like the mix and match bride's maids outfits like the ones here.

We like the a black suit for Pete like this one.

I really like this cake design - with light pink roses maybe :) The page even has directions which is cool but I doubt Pete's mum will need them ;)

Oh and on Weds. I opened up a savings account and was pre-approved for a credit card from the bank. So that should be coming in the mail soon - yay. Not that I will go nuts with it or anything. But will come in handy to book the flight - better get saving!

My cousin wrote an article for a website about where she lives in NJ. Personally I think its very good. So go have a read - comment if you like. Just don't say you found the article from me hehe. Highway to Spinsterville.

After today I have 2 days off from class yay. This is our 'spring break.' We get out of school on April 22 so its not like its that far away. Which is scary - there is so much to do. I'm going to work at 9am - Since I won't be here tomorrow. Suitemate is still in the show! Has been in there for half an hour! Ooo it stopped. Maybe I'll be able to pee, wash my face, and brush my teeth before getting dress! yay!

Ms. Strong LDR Woman, Yes that's me!

How many couples have met after Pete and I did and have already gotten married? Loads. Sometimes I feel like that's a bit pathetic on my part that we can't get it together that much to do it. But it's not a competition. It will be close to 8 years after Pete and I met on the internet when we get married. But we have grown up together. We share something unique and special. As Pete said in a very lovely note to me in one of my Christmas presents (a personalized photo album for us.) Few have gone through what we have for so long and have endured. But we will, because we are strong. We have been through hell, and have cried tears of anger, sadness, depression, and loneliness. But we have endure. We have taken it slow and shared a lot. We continue to grow together and individually without rushing for an end result. This is not any reply to anything, and it is not an explanation. It is just my feelings as this moment as I share my life with my soulmate. There will be tears to come and much laughter and joy. But we will endure all.

No need to comment this is just my expression for the day.

Destiny
Sir Edwin Arnold (1832-1904)

Somewhere there waiteth in this world of ours
For one lone soul another lonely soul,
Each choosing each through all the weary hours
And meeting strangely at one sudden goal.
Then blend they, like green leaves with golden flowers,
Into one beautiful and perfect whole;
And life's long night is ended, and the way
Lies open onward to eternal day.

Toilet Paper Day!

Ah yes the thrills of dorm life - I saw on the RA's board this morning: Thursday = Toilet Paper Day! It's when we can pick up our allocated amount of toilet paper - yipee. I am totally addicted to this wedding site and forum Gem recommended to me Your Day 2 Remember. I read a lot posts from brides-to-be from Essex so thats pretty cool. Worked on my paper today - not much more than that. I watched the second part of the Diana Tapes thing on NBC - it was pretty good, I knew all the stuff already from being a former royal watcher and reading Morton's book. I have to say putting Andrew Morton and Penny Junor on the same program about Princess Diana is like putting two trailer trash enemies on Jerry Springer and having them duke it out. But they both seemed to say there are two sides to every story which I totally agree with. Anyway - bedtime. I thought it was funny how NBC made it so dramatic with the camera effects swishing in and out and the photographs combined with the text quotes. Ah the advantages of being a Comm major you recognize these things!

Ever since I woke up this morning my legs have been achy. I guess it's because I did my walking 2 mile dvd last night for the first time in about a week. I also had a hard time getting up, probably due to the walking as well. Not a lot going on here. With a little more than a month left of the semester everything is coming closer and closer with a paper and/or a project due in every class. Not to mention finals. Ugh. Oh well still have a little bit of time to get everything done.

Pete might make his quiz tomorrow - he didn't feel in the creative mood today. I'm probably staying here this weekend to catch up on some work and enjoy some peace and quiet. I've been really thinking about why I enjoy my time in England as much as I do, the main reason is that I feel like I am independent there. There are a lot of examples of this which I won't get into right now - but it's just so contrasting to how I am treated here. Nothing really major just a lot of little small things.

Anyway I better get off here and go print out my stuff at the library, then work on my paper. Fun fun.

Monday Madness

Jubliant

I'm actually shocked how little everyone know about me! I did do a few tricky questions though hehe. I'm also shocked I did better on Jennie's quiz than some of her family! I'm not a freak I swear I just have a good memory and I guessed a bit lol. ;) I told Pete he better get a 100% on mine - he might make one though I haven't seen that he's taken mine yet so maybe tomorrow.

I also took the "Wedding Date Predictor Quiz" and I will be married by: July 7, 2007! LOL.

NEXT

I need a silvery/gray top to go with my new skirt, since the skirt has a bit of silvery/gray material at the hem-line. So I thought I'd see what they had on the NEXT website. Check out the the black top on the right of the site with the silvery straps. Wish I could try it on with the skirt. Hmph maybe by the time I'm in England it'll be in the NEXT clearance store! I LOVE NEXT! Tempted to order a catalogue to be sent to Pete's house along with my FCUK one. LOL.

Busy Day

Well I had a pretty good but busy weekend and Monday thus far.

On Saturday I studied for my Electronic Media test that I had at 11am today. I went to my sister's house in the evening and babysitted my niece and nephew.

Then on Sunday I went back to the motel and helped my dad clean rooms, in the afternoon my friend Sara picked me up there (as my car is still in the shop being fixed.) We ended up going to the mall where we were able to chat to our friend Becca who we haven't seen in ages who works in the GAP. We raided the clearence racks there and I got a pair of boot-cut black corduroy pants/trousers. The original price on them was $48 and I got them for $10! And... a nice fitted black skirt that goes a little past the knee and flairs out a bit, the original price on that was something like $50 and I got it for... $5!! Gotta love GAP clearance!!! Then we went to the movies to and saw "50 First Dates." I didn't expect it to be as cute as it was, it was so funny in some parts and sad in others. It was so technically not possible but then again it IS a MOVIE hehe. I also got a really cute address book at TJ MAXX - which I might take a pic of because its so cute! That was like $4.

Then Sara dropped me off at the motel, I went home with my parents, then from our house my dad drove me back here. I got here around 10pm and studied for my electronic media test until about 12:30 am, got up at 7:30am to study some more. At 11am I took the test, skipped my 12pm class to work on a first draft for my Advanced Expository Writing second paper, and then came back here. I "presented" a quote to the class today from "Lost & Found." Not a lot of people got the British way of life enough to understand it which I expected hehe. Now I'm going to go work on my paper some more (as we have a second draft due on Friday.) The work never ends!!

New Name, Same Address

Yeah I got bored with "Jul's World Unscripted" so I changed it to this. Still keeping it as julworld.blogspot.com just because I don't want everyone to have to change their links. I guess I should make a new linkie blinkie too when I have time. This weekends is jam-packed with fun stuff and studying. I'm babysitting my niece and nephew tomorrow night at my sister's house. Then I might do something with my friend Sara on Sunday.

In the mood to buy new clothes as its getting to be spring in FL and all my summery clothes are now too big! yay! I really want to but a long khaki ( tan color) skirt. Today I was able to take my jeans off without un-buttoning them! woohoo. I'm so sleepy and its 9am, this always happens to me on Fridays! I need to make notecards tonight too! UGH.

Colors...

Hmm not sure about the colors. Was working off the globe/map colors in the heart of the Love Knows No Boundaries bears hehe.
I should have mentioned last night that I had to add another page of the wedding planner so click on the link at the bottom of the page to get to the next. The cake plan change is that Pete's mum is going to make it ;) Hmmm I wonder if she is also going to do my hair ? Probably as she's a private hairdresser hehe.

This is what I hate about TV. Its called Must See TV because it is soo addictive! I just put on NBC to watch FRIENDS and now I want to watch Will & Grace and the thing about the Diana tapes that is on later! But I HAVE to study. Ooo so tempting.

Speaking of tempting they added new stuff to the FCUK websites both the UK and US one. But all they did on the US one was put the shirts that were already on the UK site (as its the Spring/Summer collection.) I LOVE this one! Very bad but so funny! I already hinted to Pete that I want it as a birthday present hehe.

More stuff

I updated the wedding planner a bit. I got a link from Gem which is this great site that has tiaras and a lot of other neat wedding stuff! Also the cake plans have changed hehe.

One good thing that came from stupid book sale, I snatched Love and War by James Hewitt just for a laugh read because he is just so pathetic. Being a former 'royal watcher' I just had to add it to my collection of books. Plus it was free, because no one should have to pay money for this sleeze lol. What's even sadder is the comments about the book on amazon.

What a day...

I knew today wasn't going to be a good day from the time I got up.

First I got an email back from that site I emailed for information. The internship program is like $3000. I have a real problem paying for a program in which I work for a company for free. I guess it would be cool if I didn't have a place to stay in London and had never been there before. Its a lot of money that I don't have. Also the application deadline is March 31 and I would have to have everything filled out by then and have the money. So that program won't work out.

I did find a good site for publishing internships. So I have two companies I want to send my resume and cover letter out to that are looking for interns in both NYC and London. Even if it doesn't amount to much this summer, next summer I will have more free time (as I won't have to take summer classes) and I want to be in the UK for August anyway for Pete's Grandparent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Also I will have more experience under my belt by then. But it doesn't hurt to get my cover letter and resume in their files.

Then I had to help out at the Sigma Tau Delta book/bake sale. This way easy enough, stand around for an hour waiting for people to buy books. Well 3pm rolled around and there was no one else there to help me bring the books back up to the 3rd floor of the main building! So I had to go to security and borrow a dolly (cart thingy), go up to the 3rd floor, get a professor to let me keep the money from the sale in his office (as I didn't know where else to put it) and put all the books in a closet. This took me 3 trips to do with 5+ boxes in total full of books. So I was not a happy bunny. Then I had ahem - female troubles - wonderful.

Now I have to go eat and come back to the library to read a chapter in Abnormal Psychology and make notecards for the test on Friday. Also have a test in Electronic Media on Monday. Great.

More Name Generator Fun!

My crappy little elf name is Juniper Merryweather.
What's yours?

Pete's crappy little elf name is Pelthound Faringdon.

I'm really having too much fun with these things today! There's also an Iraqi one and a Ghetto one which I'm not posting in here just because it'll take up too much space. Plus neither are very politically correct - if I cared or not lol.

British Names...

I thought my name was pretty British sounding in itself but it turns out...

My very British name is Amelia Wilson.

Oh and it seems Pete's new name is...

My very British name is Terrance Watson.

Haha. I just did Pete's Parents names and they are now: Tony (which is his name anyway) and Amelia Watson LOL. Whats up with the name Amelia? I wouldn't have thought that was a classic British name compared to others lol.

I got the link off Amelia Butcher's - I mean - Kamie's blog. Hehe.

Internships...

Why didn't I think of this before ?

What better way to kill two birds with one stone (figuretively)?! For awhile I've been stressing over two things: deciding on a country to live in and deciding what I am going to do with my life. Well today I came up with good plan to get started on both decisions...what for it....

I am going to look for a summer internship in... London!

Woohoo. I found one site and emailed them to get more information about their programs. It's a site that offers London internships in Media to students from around the world I guess. There would be two problems if I do end up doing it:

1) I have to take a class this summer with my college. Summer semester ends on the 18th of June. The internship program begins on the 14th. So either I will have to a) talk to communications head to see if I can take final in class early or b) talk to internship program place and see if I can start it late.

2) I will need to find money to get me from Essex to London everyday. About 20 quid a day at least for 4-5 days a week. For over 2 months! eeek.

But other than those two problems I'm really excited about it! Yay! Pete seemed excited too! He was a little protective of the idea of me being in London everyday by myself but not as bad as I though he would be hehe.
